Title: Evaluation of promising lines with traits of early maturity, high yielding and good quality with control variety comperation in Mazandaran province

Abstract: Introducing new rice cultivars with early maturity, high yield, and good quality is one of the most important strategies to increase the area under cultivation of high-yield cultivars and rice production per unit area. In this regard, in recent years, the Rice Research Institute has introduced or is introducing new varieties of rice that, despite the desirable traits, major experts in implementation, promotion, and rice farmers do not have proper knowledge of these cultivars. In order to know more about the introduced cultivars and promising rice lines, the research-extension plan for evaluating agronomic traits and yield of seven genotypes in three regions of farmers’ farms was examined without repetition in each region. During the growth period and ripening time, different morphological and yield traits were measured by researchers, extensional, and farmers. The results showed that the effect of location on two traits of a number of full grains and total grain in panicle was significant and not significant statistically for the other traits. Although the average yield in different regions was statistically in the same group, the yield in Amol, Babol, and Goldasht regions were 6663, 6029, and 5800 kg/ha, respectively. The highest yields were allocated to 8308 and 8315 lines with 6750 and 6633 kg/ha, respectively. Tisa cultivar with 6100 yields, Line Yuan 97 with 5867, Haj Heydari cultivar with 6150, and Keshvari cultivar with 6153 kg/ha were in the second statistical group. Kohsar cultivar with the lowest yield and with the amount of 4466 kg/ha was in the last stage in terms of production per hectare.
