Rice Farm Day Meeting of the rice growing season of 2022
Scientific monitoring and Technologies Transfer for the pioneer farmers
The Rice Research Institute of Iran’s mission and purpose are targeted to improve the life quality of those who depend on the rice sector through rice-based agri-food systems and the environmental sustainability of rice production systems. This mission (solving farmer constraints with deep research) has taken place through collaborations with both advanced research institutes and national pioneer partners around the rice-growing areas. To achieve these missions, the Rice Research Institute of Iran will take place several farm days per year. The first meeting of the rice growing season of 2022 focused on scientific monitoring and technology transfer for the pioneer farmers.
This ceremony was held on August 11, 2022, in the rice research institute of Iran in compliance with the health protocols of Covid-19 with the collaboration of the extension office of the Jahad Agriculture Organization of Guilan Province. Numbers of pioneer farmers, extension offices of Guilan province, experts of agronomy, and extension offices participated in this ceremony. The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the National Anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The speakers of the ceremony were the head of different research departments of RRII that briefly reported on the main crop and problems of paddy fields in the region, and the quick and sustainable solutions to overcome these problems. At the end of this meeting, the speakers at the Q/A part of the rice farm day answered the questions of local rice farmers, extension service agents, and agricultural experts.
