Title: Study of stability and compatibility analysis of high-quality rice lines in regional yield trials
Author: Alireza Tarang
Abstract: In order to evaluate the grain yield stability, eight advanced rice lines with Hashemi cultivar as a control (9 treatments in total) in three areas (Rice Research Institute (Rasht), Rice Research Institute (Tonekabon), and Langrood) in a randomized complete block design at three replications for three years. During the growing season, the necessary notes were taken from plant height, day to maturity, panicle length, number of filled grain per panicle, number of tillers, and grain yield. The results of a simple analysis of variance showed that the studied lines in terms of grain yield in all three regions during the years under study had a significant difference at the level of 1% probability. The results of the combined variance analysis of grain yield showed that the effect of year in place, genotype in the year, genotype in place, and genotype in the year in place were not significant. Mean comparison for grain yield in all years and places in each of the studied genotypes showed that the TH2 line had the highest yield in all years and places. TH2 line had an average yield of 5371 kg / ha, cluster length of 27 cm, plant height of 127 cm, growth duration of 108 days, long grain (7.2 mm), and excellent cooking quality (amylose content 21%, the gelatinization temperature 4.2 ° C).
