Chemical Control Technology
Agriculture production has evolved into a complex process requiring the accumulation and integration of knowledge and information from many diverse sources, including marketing, horticulture, insect management, disease management, weed management, accounting, and tax laws. Often, agronomic practices alone are insufficient for obtaining economically successful production. Pesticides are extensively used in agriculture and undoubtedly play a pivotal role in retaining the high production and quality of crops.
Nevertheless, with the escalating demand for environmental protection and food safety, the economic, health, and environmental costs of pesticides have to be considered. Therefore, chemical control technology can provide a picture of how effectively control the pests and also how significantly to be environmentally friendly. This webinar base workshop covers chemical control technology from a wide range of perspectives.
This Workshop on Chemical Control Technology (Recognition of common types of sprayers in the country, components of sprayers, how to calibrate sprayers, use of sprayers in farms, and safety tips in spraying) conducted from Feb. 21, 2021, to Feb. 24, 2021, in the Rice Research Institute of Iran (RRII), Rasht, Iran. It attends by soil and plant scientists, researchers, and laboratories staffs of RRII. The workshop speaker was Dr. ROOHOLLAH YOUSEFI, assistant professor (Agricultural Machinery) of the agricultural engineering department of RRII.
