Dr. Hossieni was appointed for the next two years (2023-2024) as Director General of the Rice Research Institute of Iran (RRII).

Dr. Hosseini, associate professor of plant breeding and the Director General of Rice Research Institute of Iran since 2018 appointed to continue her position for the next two years (2023-2024). Dr. Khayam, Deputy of Research, Education, and Extension of Jahad-e- Agriculture ministry in her appointment letter highlighted her excellent administrative and scientific experience and also asked her to make the best use of the abilities and experiences of all RRII staff, thus ensuring the brilliant future of the RRII. He also appointed that regarding the rice mega project, RRII must focus on increasing the quality and quantity of local rice production through the objectives of the rice mega project. Dr. Hosseini, associate professor of plant breeding and the Director General of the Rice Research Institute of Iran is the leader of the rice mega-project.
